Admission Requirements

Prerequisites:*These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The following must be completed prior to completion of the Certificate in Advanced Human Resource Management:
    Post-secondary: a BCIT Certificate in Human Resource Management
    Additional Admission Requirements:
      It is recommended that prior to starting this program students have completed the following:

      English: one of the following:
      English 12 (C+) or
      English-language proficiency

      Math: one of the following:
      Math 11 (C+) or
      OPMT 0199 - Math for Business or
      OPMT 0198 - Business Math Assessment Test

      Mathematics Self-Diagnostic Test [PDF]
      Use this voluntary test to assess your fundamental math skills. You should be able to do this exercise in about an hour. If you score less than 20 out of 26, you should seriously consider upgrading your mathematical skills. If you find this test difficult, we recommend taking OPMT 0199 - Math for Business.

      Work experience: previous experience in a marketing-related position will be advantageous, but is not required.
